Monday Morning Meditation, Ep. 45: Find Your Happy Place

Good Morning Meditators!

In today’s episode we talk about finding our happy place.  And we do it through the auspices of Toon Town from the classic animated movie “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?”.  Part of my happy place is discussing spirituality with people and finding out where their spirituality lies.  Or doesn’t.  So if anyone has Ricky Gervais’ or Stephen Colbert’s ears, let them know I’d LOVE to interview them.  Because interviewing people about how their spirituality manifests itself is TRULY one of my FAVORITE happy places.

I’m coming off the tail end of a really bad cold.  So if this meditation sounds a little funky, that’s the reason why.

Good Morning Meditators!

In this week’s episode we talk about mondaymorningmeditation.com and how everyone should go there and bookmark it.  It will be your one-stop-resource for all things Sanctuary Studios and Monday Morning Meditation.  We talk about the Spirit, Mind and Body Expo that happened a couple weeks ago.  I take the opportunity to thank everyone who came out to say hello.  Especially since the weather outside was TRULY frightful.  I also thank the kind people who opened their home to me for a holiday party where I was the entertainment for the evening.  I met some incredible people and enjoyed my time reading for people during the party.  I also put out a call for anyone who may be in need of a psychic reader for their parties, or for their fairs or expos to reach out to me at traveler@travelingtarot.com.

Then we talk about being grateful even when times aren’t that fantastic.  We talk about a school of metaphysical thought that says we must fully go through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows in order to truly learn lessons and live.  And how when we allow ourselves to go through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows and truly experience them for what they are, we eventually find a place of equilibrium.  And how there’s always hope.  And how nothing lasts forever.  Good, bad or indifferent, there’s always hope and nothing lasts forever.

Then we talk about my good friend Andre’ (not his real name) and how he was the spark for today’s episode on Touch.

If you have an idea for a meditation on Smell or Taste, please reach out to me at mondaymorningmeditationpodcast@gmail.com and I will DEFINITELY give you credit for the idea.  I’ll credit you and link you up everywhere I am on social media.

Then we get into the meditation itself.

I’d love to hear from you. You can contact me directly at mondaymorningmeditationpodcast@gmail.com.  Or you can contact me and other meditators on:

Finally, if you like the podcast please comment on it.  Share it.  Rate it.  PLEASE rate it.  It truly helps the show be seen and heard by more people in the i-Tunes rankings which means the podcast will grow.  Rating MMM 5 stars would be like realizing that old Diana Ross tune “Reach Out And Touch Somebody’s Hand” was wiser than anyone ever imagined.

Don’t forget to journal!

Monday Morning Meditation Ep. 39: Courage or, A Gamer’s Guide to Self-Preservation

cropped-meditationfinal-1.jpg

Good Morning, Meditators!  In this week’s episode we talk about mondaymorningmeditation.com being up and running.  We discuss how I want that site to be your one-stop shopping for all things meditation.  So go there and bookmark it!  Then I tell everyone about the Spirit, Mind and Body Expo presented by OPERA going on this week-end.  I will be doing psychic tarot card readings at the fair and I invite everyone to come out and partake in the good and positive energy created that week-end.  Then I mention I am in the market to travel to other places with this dog and pony show and would love the opportunity to do so.  Specifically a warmer climate as close to the equator as possible because it’s about to get friggin’ COLD up in here.  I even promise if it’s a warm beachy climate I’ll wear a thong!  Then we talk about the cool things happening at Sanctuary Studios.  (Monday Morning Meditation is getting a new logo!)  A lot of stuff we can’t reveal just yet but if all goes well beginning at the turn of the year we’ll be rolling out the good stuff slowly but surely.  Then I apologize for not getting an episode out to you last week.  But because I didn’t my spiritual evolution took a leap forward.  Which was AWESOME!  I talk about that all the while apologizing PROFUSELY for not getting an episode out last week.  Then we talk about the world of gaming and how gaming in and of itself while good practice for being on the front lines for the coming zombie apocolypse is also VERY meditative.  We give a few shout-outs to the OG games out there and to those who remember playing those arcade games.  Then we talk about intent in meditation and how gaming is a great entree into that world.  And then we get into the meditation itself which today is ALL about building up courage through meditation and the gaming world.

GOOD NEWS!!!

GOOD NEWS!!! I receive a LOT of meditations through the internet from people wanting my opinions on them, to people wanting me to publish a meditation or two. Which is WONDERFUL! It just goes to show that meditation is going on all around us. One of those people, Alex, sent me a short 5 minute meditation on stress and anxiety. Alex is new to the world of recording meditations, so he welcomes any feedback you may have for him. Check out the meditation below. And then check out his Facebook page: SkillCode. I may post some more meditations this week from different people, so stay tuned! Happy meditating!

GOOD NEWS!!!

GOOD NEWS!!! The U.S. Presidential election is over! And while that is good news in and of itself, I want to focus on something else. Regardless of who won – I absolutely refused to follow the election results last night and so I still don’t know who won – it’s important to realize the sun will still rise. The moon will still set. The stars will still rotate around this vast and great Milky Way. Nature has no interest in politics. Nature could care less about ideology. Nature has no interest in how divided or unified human beings are. Nature just continues to just be. It’s very important to remember that. Nature just is. It continues on. And so should we. Regardless of how happy or sad or angry or elated we are about the election results, we should really take a moment, breathe, and just be. I hope this video will help us all in finding that place of center, that place of calm, that place of peace. And just be. Have a great Wednesday, everybody!

Today’s BEST. THING. EVER!!!

Today’s BEST. THING. EVER!!! As most of you know if you follow my podcast, music always and forever will be my first love. It touches me in ways that no other art medium ever can. So this story really touches my heart. I had no idea it was going on in Atlanta back in September or else I would have already featured it on my page. But apparently it’s a yearly thing so maybe next year I’ll feature it while it’s still going on.
Anyway, check out this article and then go to pianosforpeace.org to find out how you can get involved. *sigh* I miss music. But I can still enjoy music through the creativity and passion of other people. Check it out:
